NEWSLETTER FALL 2011
First Rymalower Young Men’s B.A. Inc. Dear Sisters and Brothers,
We want to wish you and all your loved ones a most Happy and Healthy New Year. Our next meeting will be held on Sunday,
November 13, 2011 at 12 Noon at the home of Financial Secretary RUBIN DRUCKER whose address appears below. If you cannot attend
and wish a matter discussed-please let him know. Despite
hurricanes, bomb threats and various illnesses our members fortunately have had some good news to share during the past year.
Mazel-Tov to Brother SEYMOUR and Sister ASNA NADLER on the marriage of their granddaughter and the graduation of their grandson
from Dental School. They also have welcomed their fourth great-grandchild and thios one is a boy. We hope that they enjoy
lots of “naches” and improved health. Mazel-Tov
to Brother MARK WILENSKY and his family on the birth of granddaughter EMILIA RAE in November.
Brother LAURENCE and SISTER KATHY WEISSBROT were doubly delighted grandparents with the arrival of PENINA in February
to their son JARED AND HINDAH and the birth of MARJORIE in May to their daughter JILL and MATTHEW.
Congratulations to Drs. JAY and CAROL WEISSBROT whose son JOSEPH graduated from Brown University.
Best Wishes to BROTHER LAWRENCE DRUCKER and the entire DRUCKER family on two special events. Daughter AMANDA made her
BAT-Mitzvah in January and did a great job. Daughter EMILY graduated from High School in June and is now attending Hunter
College.
We are happy to hear from Sister CONSTANCE BERGER that she now has five grandchildren—three girls from daughter
MELISSA and two boys from son JOSHUA. Two of the children—ZOE and Zachary are carrying on the name of our late Brother
Harry ZVI BERGER.
Unfortunately, we send out condolences to Sister FREMA SCHNEIER who lost her sister and brother-in-law within a month
of each other.
Please let us know if you have news to share. After all these years the Rymalower is really like an extended family.
It’s the time of year for good wishes but also the time to collect dues, so if you owe anything it will appear on the
bottom of this page. Once
again, we wish a good year ahead for all.

DARCI WEISSBROT on the birth of a boy in February, JACOB ALBERT, to their daughter JAMIE and her husband ADAM LENTER. And
more good news from them…their daughter ELLERIE graduated from A double Mazel Tov also goes to Brother
LAURENCE and Sister KATHLEEN WEISSBROT on the marriage of their son JARED to HINDAH in March and on the marriage of their
daughter JILL to MATTHEW NEWBERG in June. And last, but certainly not least, Mazel
Tov to Drs. Brother JAY and Sister CAROL WEISSBROT …their daughter ALISON graduated from High School in June and is
now attending The best of luck to all of you. Unfortunately, we have to announce the
bad news with the good. Sister LINDA GREENFIELD EVANS, the daughter of our late members JACK and JEANETTE GREENFIELD, passed
away in August. Our condolences go to her husband, to MYRNA and OWEN WEXLER and all the rest of her family. Payment of dues is now in order. Any dues

to report some good news about our members. Mazel Tov to Sister CONSTANCE BERGER on the birth of a boy to her son JOSHUA
and his wife KATHARINE. The baby is named ZACHARY after his late grandfather HARRY ZEVI who was the first son of a member
to join our organization. MAX BERGER was one of our original organizers. CONSTANCE and HARRY’s daughter MELISSA STOLLER
has also blessed them with three granddaughters. ZOE (also named for HARRY) was Bat-Mitzvahed in February. JESSIE is 9 and
MADELINE is 3. Best Wishes also go to Sister IRENE and Brother SAMUEL BERGER on these happy family occasions. Best Wishes to the MARK WILENSKY family on the marriage of RYAN to SARAH. RYAN
is the grandson of our late Brother MURRAY WEISS who provided the music for so many of our happy occasions. And last but certainly not least…a double Best Wishes to Sister KATHY
and Brother LAURENCE WEISSBROT on the engagement of their daughter JILL to MATTHEW and their son JARED to SARAH. (Incidentally,
JARED is a great Klezma player.)
Keep the Good News coming! It is always difficult to write about the death of any of our members. We regret
to inform you of the passing of Brother DAVID WOHL. Our sincere condolences to his wife JANET and their children MARISSA and
EUGENE and to his brother HAROLD and the entire WOHL family. Unfortunately, there is also another recent loss to report…Dr. SAMUEL
GREENFIELD.Our deepest sympathy to his wife and to the entireGREENFIED family. Our grounds at Baron Hirsh cemetery are in good shape but there are still some
overturned monuments. Please inform us if you know of any relatives of the following people: Betty Rotter;Murray Gordon;Harry

CARL and Sister RAY NADLER welcomed two new great-grandchildren. A son was born
to DINA and AVI in December and their second little girl was born to SYMA and JORDAN in January. ARIEL THOMPSON,
the granddaughter of Brother LOUIS and Sister MILDRED DRUCKER, graduated from JOSEPH WEISSBROT,
the son of Drs. CAROL and JAY WEISSBROT, graduated from High School and is now attending JAMIE WEISSBROT,
the daughter of Brother KENNETH and Sister DARCI WEISSBROT, was married to ADAM
LENTER in July. Unfortunately,
we must take the bad with the good. Brother SEYMOUR NADLER and Sister ASNA NADLER have
been having health difficulties. He is currently in rehabilitation and we wish
them both a full and speedy recovery. Our sincere
condolences to Brother MARK WILENSKY and his children ALEXA and RYAN on the loss
of their wife and mother SHELLEY in November. SHELLEY was also the daughter of our late
Brother MURRAY WEISS who provided the music for so many happy Rymalower occasions. We also send
our condolences to the SCHNEIER family on the loss of Sister MARTHA SCHNEIER…the widow of our late Brother SIDNEY SCHNEIER. And, unfortunately,
there is one more passing to report…Sister CYLLA ENGELHARDT died in September. We extend our condolences to her children and to the PASTERNAK and RATCHIK families. Those of you
who have visited Baron Hirsch cemetery have seen that the grounds are in good shape, but there are several overturned monuments
which are the responsibility of the individual families, so please take care of them. That time of
